My Fragrance Concepts

1. This concept is centred on the consumer’s relationship with faux fur. The story comes from the brands heavy use of fur in their collections and their advocacy against animal cruelty. The artist in this collaboration is film maker Anna Radchenko. She recently produced a film called ‘Detour’ and I have taken inspiration from a feature of its set design; fur clad stairs. This relates to the sensory experience I want the Shrimps consumer to have with fur. The immersive space will be filled with everyday objects; tables, chairs, sofas, utensils ect but everything will be covered in pink fur. The interior diffusers will be placed around the space, dispersing the fragrance. This concept is bright, offbeat and fun just like the consumer.

2.The second concept is based on ornate furniture that you might find within the homes of the Shrimps consumer or Pinterest boards. This collaboration sees interior designer Beata Heuman creating a space inspired by American pre mid-century decorating; scalloped edges and soft colours will take over. The space will appear almost animated and a little bit too perfect. The diffuser will reflect the same style. The Shrimps consumer will receive this well visually as the Shrimps personality and style harmonise with that of Heumans. However, I think this concept is maybe too safe for the fearless Shrimps consumer.

3. Finally this concept is based on illustration and the work of karolina koryl. Her portfolio is heavy with contour drawing and continuous line drawing, similar to those seen on Shrimps’ fur coats. The Shrimps consumer is drawn to print, portraiture and illustration, Koryl’s work encompasses all three. This space would see a mixture of Hannahs portraits and Koryls with pops of colour. The illustrations will be centred on animal cruelty and the need for change. Again, the diffuser will be designed with the immersive space in mind. The space will have illustrations running from the floor up with projections and lights adding further pop of colour.
